NonProfit Marketing Consultant, Clients include Aish, Bring Israel Home, Myisrael
Michal was born and raised in Manchester, England. After graduating from Leeds University, she moved to London and embarked on a career in marketing, implementing many successful and award-winning campaigns for Virgin, Heinz, and more. Frustrated by the commercial world and wanting to use her skills for something more meaningful, she went to an agency focusing exclusively on nonprofits, where she eventually became Group Account Director working for the U.K.’s largest charities. In 2009 she moved to New York, where for five years she took her experience in-house to Aish NY. Upon moving to Israel, Michal has become a consultant to a range of nonprofits. A key campaign that Michal developed while at Aish NY and continues to consult for now, is Bring Israel Home – a post Birthright follow-up program designed to engage participants upon their return from Israel and connect them to Jewish communal life. Bring Israel Home is groundbreaking in many ways; it allows participants to carve their own Jewish journey, it unites all types of Jews, its key partners being the URJ and OU, and it allows, through its algorithms and data analysis, for great insights into participant behavior and gaps in the market. To date, thousands of participants have taken part, completing countless Jewish activities. Michal created the idea and led its development and implementation. She also developed strategic partnerships with a wide range of Jewish organizations and was responsible for leading the fundraising efforts to support the initiative.
