Michele Freed is the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation Fellow of the Washington DC office, where she works to support the Foundation’s national Jewish agenda of supporting organizations and initiatives that empower young Jews to embrace the joy of Judaism, build inclusive communities, support the State of Israel and repair the world.
A recent and proud graduate of the University of Michigan, Michele now holds a BA in Judaic Studies and Psychology with a minor in Community Action and Social Change. While attending U of M, Michele served as the student Chair of Michigan Hillel, President of the University’s Women’s Club Soccer team and as a facilitator for the Program on Intergroup Relations. Michele attributes her love for pluralistic communities and connection to her Jewish Identity to her family, Michigan Hillel and the Young Judaea Youth Movement.
A fan of stepping outside of her comfort zone, Michele loves to be outside exploring on her bike, going on adventures, enjoying an occasional biscuit and sweet tea and playing banana-grams.
