Nicholas is a U.K.- born, Trinidadian author whose debut novel, The First Jew: The Resurrection of Abraham is a fictionalized exploration of two main themes: the issue of who is a Jew, and the concept of the messiah. Nicholas became interested in Judaism, and lived in Jerusalem from 2007-2009, in the midst of which (2008) he converted to Judaism. Torn between his love for Israel and his love for Trinidad, he tends to spend time in both, living in Tel Aviv from 2013 to 2017. In Trinidad, Nicholas is the owner of Hummus & Hallah, a catering company specializing in Israeli and Israeli-Caribbean fusion cuisine. Currently studying for an M.B.A. in Trinidad and Tobago, he hopes to both launch a startup in Israel and to continue to build, grow and promote the Jewish community in Trinidad.
