Nikola was born and raised in Belgrade, Serbia, where he was very active in the Jewish community, attending various youth clubs, Gesher, and Jewish summer camps, including working as a madrich in the Jewish summer camp in Szarvas, Hungry . He has been a participant in numerous Generation Next and Junction young leadership seminars and was a founder of the Maccabi Belgrade sports club. For three years Nikola ran the Maccabi Bar in Belgrade, where members of the community would come and invite their non-Jewish friends. He considers the bar as being hugely instrumental in opening up the rather closed Jewish community to the general public. Nikola hold a B.A. in environmental science and is a researcher for Ipsos Serbia, where he quantifies and qualifies how the market and social opinion work. He is also fascinated by politics, and works as a political consultant, having participated in over ten political campaigns for parliamentary, presidential, and local elections in five Western Balkan countries. Nikola is a member of European Geography Association and Maccabi Serbia. He believes that giving blood on a regular basis is important, has been obsessed with CrossFit for over two years, and loves running and playing chess.
