Nisan is a visual artist, city planner and urbanist focused on creative urban innovations, collaborative placemaking, and transformative thinking in Israel and in the global sphere. Nisan was born in 1984 in the city of Bat Yam to a Jewish Persian-Libyan family. Throughout the years, Nisan took part in several initiatives for social change and environmental justice such as The Bat Yam Biennial of Landscape Urbanism, Re-Locate Kivalina and Jane's Walk Israel. Via Dreamfields, a creative platform for urban innovation Nisan founded in 2012, he generated urban interventions, art installations, immersive city-games, and participatory walks in collaboration with numerous international institutions and communities. A graduate of the Adi Lautman Interdisciplinary Program for Outstanding Students at Tel Aviv University, Nisan's MA thesis project "Games of Polis" investigates Participatory Games in complex urban environments to promote the participation of youth in city-making. Nisan is a regular speaker at public events and also exhibited works in several artistic, academic, and public venues.
