A native of Baltimore, Nora is entering her final year of rabbinical school at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. When not in the classroom, Nora loves finding innovative ways of infusing established Jewish institutions with soul, joy, and meaning. Prior to rabbinical school, Nora worked as a program officer at the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation in Washington, D.C., and for Hillel at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. Nora received a B.A. in American studies from Barnard College. For her campus leadership, Nora was elected as both a Junior and Senior Marshal at commencement exercises and honored as a Bear Pin recipient, Barnard’s highest award granted for service to the community. Nora graduated summa cum laude from the Jewish Theological Seminary with a B.A. in modern Jewish studies. Nora enjoys yoga, live music, hiking, and public radio.
