Orly was born and bred in Brooklyn but her heart has always been connected to Israel. In March 2018, her life-long dream to live in Jerusalem finally became a reality. Orly is an educator, entrepreneur, author, inspirational speaker, and community activist passionate about inspiring and motivating people to be the best that they can be. Her endgame - tikkun olam. Orly began as a middle school educator at the Yeshivah of Flatbush, teaching the children to embrace unity, build their self-esteem, and use the power they have to influence the world for good. Yearning to make a larger impact with her philanthropic work in 2011 she founded Life Vest Inside, a nonprofit organization with a mission to inspire, empower, and educate people of all backgrounds to lead a life of kindness. Orly’s film, Kindness Boomerang, went viral reaching more than 100 million people globally and led to her invitation to speak at TED and the publication of her book of the same name in 2017. Orly created and runs Dance for Kindness, a global flashmob that unites people under the banner of kindness. She attended Trapeze School NYC, directed community theater, plays drums and piano, figure skates, plays basketball and softball and is a mean ping pong player. She also has hopes and dreams of infusing positive change in the political arena by focusing on ethics, character, and values. Orly holds a B.A. in film production and English from Brooklyn College, and an M.A. in Jewish history from Touro College.
