Marketing and communications, Organization of the Jews in Bulgaria
Polly was born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria. Over the past few years she has lived in Germany, France, Serbia, and Hungary. She has an M.A. in media, communications and culture and is currently studying for a second M.A. in a field called E.Europe. Polly joined the Global Jewish Service corps and spent a year in Belgrade working with BBYO teenageers and JDC (American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee)regional programs. Before this, Polly worked for five years as a producer of a radio morning show, and organized the first Pablo Picasso exhibition in Bulgaria and different art festivals. Polly is Project Manager for JDC's Junction project, which creates diverse experiences for young European Jews to enable them to take an active part in pan-European Jewry and foster global Jewish life now and for the future. The program provides innovative international opportunities that connect young European Jews to each other and to meaningful, relevant, and forward-looking Jewish spaces. Polly really enjoys working with people from so many diverse backgrounds and cultures. The global nature of her job allows her to have a favorite restaurant in over ten European capitals. She lives in Sofia where she happily shares her home with her two dogs.
