Rafael is one of the residents of Moishe House Buenos Aires. He is also the founder of www.watar.com.ar (a cultural exchange company) and www.mycampabroad.org (which works with American Jewish summer camps to help recruite and train international staff). He holds a degree in industrial design from the University of Buenos Aires, and over the past two years has participated in many international conferences and seminars abroad, including: the National Conference of North American Moishe Houses in Austin and the conference for non-North American Moishe Houses in Warsaw; Retreatology, a Shusterman Connection Point in Dover; and the World Youth Student Travel Confederation conferences in Sydney and in Dublin. Apart from his academic studies, the experiences acquired while working, volunteering, training, and travelling abroad have all had a profound impact on shaping his life and personality. Some of the most significant experiences include being a counselor at Camp Ramah and Taglit Birthright Argentina/USA/Israel, teaching technology at the Beth Jewish School in Buenos Aires, training and working abroad at Walt Disney World, the Four Seasons Hotel in Hawaii, and Club Med Brazil, and co-creating and performing in El Toratron Jewish Educational theater.
