Focused on the intersection of socially impactful entrepreneurship and transformational technologies, Raphael is building his next company while investing in tech companies as an Entrepreneur In Residence at Thrive Capital, a $1.5B fund in New York. Raphael has been coding professionally since the age of 13 and has been lecturing and building products in the fields of big data, mobile, social and cyber-security ever since. Raphael was a nationally decorated officer in Israel’s elite military programming and intelligence units where he led the country's best and brightest engineers. Raphael received Israel's highest President's Award for technology innovation and was invited to address world leaders at The World Economic Forum 2012 in Davos, all before the age 25.
In 2010, he co-founded BillGuard, built its core technology and led its product, data science and operations teams before it was acquired to Prosper Marketplace. Raphael is also the co-founder and chairman of Israel Tech Challenge, a Tel Aviv based campus for aspiring and experienced engineers under 30 years old from 20+ countries providing elite training and placement in AI, cybersecurity and full stack coding. He is a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum, serves on the board of Startup Nation Central and the Selection Board for Station F. He also founded ChatSummit.com and runs On Deck Tel Aviv, a community of talented entrepreneurs and startup operators looking to build or join the next big thing. In 2016, Raphael was named Forbes 30 under 30 and Top 40 under 40 by TheMarker.
