Rebecca BardachRebecca Bardach is the Director of Resource Development and Strategy at Hand in Hand: Center for Jewish-Arab Education in Israel. She has seventeen years of experience working in issues related to international migration, development and conflict resolution. Bardach directed refugee assistance programs for Bosnian refugees in Hungary and in Bosnia (1994-1998). She moved to Israel in 1998, where she worked with the UNHCR and helped the government of Israel determine refugee status, policies and procedures, and then with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) to establish its Center for International Migration and Integration (CIMI) working with international migration issues in Israel and internationally (2002-2012). She has an MPA in Public Policy and International Development from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service and a B.A. in English Literature from Columbia University. Originally from Berkeley, California, Rebecca lives in Jerusalem with her husband Eliot and three children.
