Roi, married to Shir and father to Ari & Guri, is Harvard executive training leader, former head of Co.Lab, a UJA Federation of NY flagship initiative in Israel. Co.Lab is a cutting-edge social innovation incubator, a first-of-its-kind signature initiative. As its name implies, it is a collaborative laboratory that invites senior social leaders from all the ‘tribes’ of Israeli society to come together and innovate to create social change initiatives. It is a unique collaboration between New York and Israeli lay leaders. Roi is also the founding director of ACDF, Alumni Communities Directors Forum, and of Midrasha LeMaase – an educational enterprise for mechinot (pre-army prepatory programs) graduates, encouraging participants to get involved with tackling national and Jewish issues. In addition, he lectures in pre-army preparatory academies for social leadership, where he teaches courses on law and Israeli society. Roi was a program director at the JDC Institute for Leadership and Governance, where he established government networks that bring together senior leaders for social empowerment, and managed and convened governors’ forums. Before that, Roi was the educational manager at MiBereshit Foundation for Jewish Renaissance. He wrote educational programs and selected and instructed the staff (320 instructors). Roi is the VP of the Audit Committee at the MASA Israeli Program, and at Ha’Mahane Ha'Meshotaf, a nonprofit focusing on equitable army recruitment and solidarity. He serves (now in reserve duty) as a fighter and commander in the IDF Rescue Combat Unit 669.
