Ziko was born in Kfar Saba, Israel. Growing up he was an avid fencer, skateboarder, and D&Der. At age 16 he joined LEAD, a youth leadership development program, which instilled in him a passion for entrepreneurship, education, and leading change. The past few years have been exciting ones for Ziko. He created the largest educational magazine and online community for educators in Israel. He established Israeli Teachers’ Day, which has now become an official holiday celebrated by students, parents, and teachers all over the country. He also began lecturing at the university and created the first interactive online course in the world, all while leading the creative media department at the Trump Foundation (not THAT Trump!).
Ziko decided to set it all aside to focus exclusively on his primary passion of leading change in the education system. Together with Michael Shurp, his best friend and colleague, he started a new company called Spark Innovation, raising money for new and inspiring adventures. The company’s latest ventures include a first-of-its-kind national challenge in Israel to promote personalized learning solutions for public schools; A program to eliminate the financial barrier from higher education and provide more people access to quality education; And many more.
