Rotem Weinner Shapira
Rotem Weineer Shapira was born and raised in Israel. She served in the IDF’s education unit, leading and coordinating trips for high school students for the Society for the Protection of Nature. She later volunteered for the Ramah movement of the Jewish Agency’s summer camp department. Rotem graduated with master's degree in Jewish History, with a specialization in American Jewish Studies from Haifa University and a bachelor’s in democratic education from the Kibbutzim College of Education in Tel Aviv, where she specialized in history, literature and Israeli heritage. Following graduation, she volunteered as an emissary in the Jewish community of Pittsburgh, PA. There she led various citywide projects, taught, and worked with different age groups across the community. She graduated from the International School for Jewish Peoplehood Studies course for Jewish Peoplehood educators. She also graduated from the Beit Midrash Kolot Fellowship 2 year Program.
Rotem was the director of the Lion of Judah Israel, which is affiliated with a worldwide women's philanthropic non-profit organization Lion of Judah.
She managed female volunteers and was responsible for all organizational activities, including fundraising, event production, project selection and project progress evaluation.
Rotem, together with Mr. Yehuda Meshi Zahav, ZAKA Chairman, established new Womens Community 'ESHET LAPIDOT' Rotem is currently the CEO
Rotem is married to Yaron and mother of Idan, Hila and Yael.
