Ruby, born and raised in India, is creative and passionate about her work. She is trained in homeopathy and hypnotherapy and uses various holistic therapies, such as: meditation, chakra healing, hypnosis, and art therapy, in her work with patients. She loves to conduct group sessions using a combination of these techniques. What she is really passionate about is dance, seeing movement as a tool for self-expression. Her basic interest lies in the field of healthcare and medicine. Combining the two in an innovative way, Ruby uses dance and movement as a therapy in her practice treating patients suffering from issues such as anxiety, depression, OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) as well as psychosomatic illnesses like diabetes, hypertension, psoriasis, and irritable bowel syndrome. She has worked on a project to overcoming nicotine dependence with homeopathy and hypnotherapy. In this project the primary focus was on identifying personal core beliefs which lead to dependence. She has a flair for writing and is currently also working with a psychiatrist as a medical writer for a book on homeopathy in psychiatry. Ruby also volunteers at the Jewish Community Center every week where she provides counselling and also organizes healthcare camps for the community. In addition, Ruby is a volunteer with the Gabriel Project Mumbai, working with underprivileged children from the city’s slums.
