Sebastian was born and raised in Argentina with the exception of a five year period when his family lived in Israel. Receiving a scholarship to ORT, he was often chosen to participate in a variety of projects (trips and World ORT meetings). Sebastian then went on to study Management at the University of Buenos Aires, graduating in 2013. For over ten years he has been involved with the Jewish community of Argentina, working for Lamroth Hakol, one of the most important and innovative JCCs in the country that currently has some 750 families (2200 members). Firstly involved as a volunteer, he was later on hired as the Youth Director in charge of a team of 70 youth leaders that worked with over 350 weekly. One of his key achievements was to open a second Youth Centre for the Community. His journey in Lamroth Hakol took him to become the JCC Coordinator from 2015. Known for his leadership, teambuilding and planning skills and with outstanding communication and coaching abilities, Sebastian was in charge of the JCC’s annual schedule, activities, and events. He is also responsible for the creation of Emasoret, an online platform for conservative Judaism education.
On March 2017, he started together with his wife a year of a life experience going to Australia. Soon he started working at Spiritgrow, a Jewish organisation dedicated to personal growth and spiritual awareness, in charge of doing a research about youth and guiding them in the creation of a Youth center. Two years later, his life has changed, he is still in Australia with his wife and became a father to Emma. Sebastian has also started a new professional experience as the Youth Director for Taglit-Birthright Israel through the Zionist Federation of Australia. He is responsible to oversee the growth and sustainability of the program, build upon the existing fundraising strategies and network engagement opportunities, and develop new markets for philanthropic and community support.
Sebastian has participated in many community projects such as Click, March of the living, Taglit, JDC meeting in Ecuador, Lazos, the ROI Summit in 2017 and Launchpad. He is friendly, easygoing, and always looking for new opportunities to learn, share and grow as a professional and as a person.
