Shir is a Program Officer for REALITY, supporting the Foundation’s efforts to empower exceptional young people to enhance their leadership skills through an immersive personal and professional development journey through Israel.
Before joining the Foundation, Shir worked as a Political Affairs intern at the Permanent Mission of Israel to the UN in New York. She holds a degree in Government, Diplomacy and Strategy with a sub-specialization in Business Administration from the IDC Herzliya, and is also a graduate of the Honors Track in Strategy and Decision Making Studies.
While completing her degree, Shir worked as a researcher for several academic institutes and participated in two practicum projects - for McKinsey & Company and the Dado Center for Interdisciplinary Military Studies - where she contributed significant research to the field of strategy inception and implementation for the public sector. Prior to that, Shir completed her military service in the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, working with international and Israeli media, developed and implemented PR strategies and directed operational advocacy.
