Stuart currently serves as Director of the Cape South African Jewish Board of Deputies. After working in senior positions in finance and human resources, Stuart entered local politics. He served as Chairperson for the finance portfolio before being appointed as a Mayoral Committee Member for assets and facilities for the City of Cape Town. In his role as Director, Stuart is already making key strategic partnerships and meaningful opportunities for his community to be engaged, empowered and educated. Stuart started a community-based soccer and cricket club called Grass Boots which has 250 members. He achieved his provincial U25 colours for Western Province Lawn Bowls and was Chairman of the team for two years. He is a Board Member of the Woodstock Improvement District and serves on the United Herzlia Schools Governing Board. He also develops policy for the Cape Town Central Improvement District.
