Talya joined ROI after working in the Israel offices of the Jewish Federations of North America and UJA-Federation of New York for nearly six years. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, she made aliyah in 2006. She holds an MA in Community Leadership and Philanthropy Studies from Hebrew University and a BA in Communications from the University of Maryland.
Talya adores her adopted home of Jerusalem, serving as a founding board member of Jerusalem Village and unofficial taste-tester for new kosher eateries in town. Her most prized possession is a blue KitchenAid mixer, which is put to regular use preparing baked treats for Shabbat meals, elaborately-themed parties, and occasionally for no occasion at all.
