Tomer Avital
Tomer recently decided that his goal in life (at least for now) is to increase the transparency of the Knesset's activity. The journey to this point has been a long and interesting one. Tomer grew up in Zichron Yaakov, a beautiful village by the sea. After serving as a medic in the Israeli army he started writing - both fiction and non fiction. After completing a B.A. in political science and literature he found the perfect setting in which to perfect his craft – the Nachlaot neighborhood in Jerusalem. While living there he began working as a journalist, covering the Knesset for a daily Israeli newspaper. After covering this beat for four years he published his first book The Parliament, a thriller that takes place in the Knesset. After he completed an M.B.A. (in a program for outstanding students) he worked as an investigative journalist at Uvda – the most popular current affairs program on Israeli television. He also plays the flute.
