PMO | Program Curator | Arts Producer | Speaker and Moderator | Science Fiction Evangelist
At UTOPIA, Israel's International Festival for Science Fiction and Fantastic Genres Film, I merge an international film festival with a program of creative events and projects titled DESIGNING TOMORROW/S that includes academic and professional conferences, public science talks, tech meetups, workshops, art exhibits and more.
Working on projects bridging science and science fiction, current tech and social trends with future perspectives, integrating film, media, story-telling and other disciplines, alongside my tech background and my fascination with the social impact of emerging technologies, have me with one foot in the worlds of scientific research, futurism and digital innovation, the other in humanities, social activism, arts & culture.
As PROMETHEAN I manage projects, curate programs, speak and moderate, produce creative events and offer consultancy.
I'm fascinated with the mutually inspirational relationship between science and science fiction, the challenge of communicating science to different audiences and with discussing the social and political challenges that technological breakthroughs entail.
In my creative projects I provide a platform for artists, filmmakers, designers and story-tellers, alongside scientists, tech entrepreneurs, activists and policy makers, to examine each other's work, influence and inspire one another, and present their ideas to the general public.
I have nearly 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector, with expertise in arts & culture, film and tech-oriented projects in Israel, alongside a decade of experience in the tech sector, as project coordinator, product manager and requirements analyst.
I'm a regular attendee at the Cannes International Film Festival and have curated programs and talked at film festivals and film, digital media, technology and science communication conferences in the US, Europe and Israel, among them: SCI-FI-LONDON (London), Re:publica (Berlin), DLD (Tel-Aviv), Kinnernet Europe (Avallon, France) and many more.
