Yael Schuster is a PhD chemist, a single mom to two hilariously crazy kids, a baker of incredibly adorable fondant-decorated cakes, a player of bluegrass fiddle, and an occasional unicycler. Yael is a veritable southern belle, from middle-of-nowhere Virginia, who came to Israel 11 years ago on aliyah. After a short stint of learning-hebrew-on-a-kibbutz, Yael moved to Haifa to complete her PhD in Organic Chemistry at the Technion. She now lives in Rehovot, where she manages a laboratory at Weizmann Institute of Science, and spends her free time biking through the nearby fields.
