Yasmin is a doctor and scientific advocate from Tel Aviv, Israel. Graduating from Tel Aviv University’s medical school in 2017, she is currently a doctor in the Israeli hospital system, with the aim of becoming a oncological gynecologist. She has published articles on cardiology, gynecology, and oncology and is the founder and director of the young board of Isragem, the Israeli Society for Gender and Sex-Conscious Medicine. Her work in Isragem includes directing their social media presence, and producing content events for the general public as well as for medical audiences, and she has represented Isragem at conferences and professional trainings in Israel and abroad. In 2018 Yasmin was selected by TheMarker magazine as one of 20 most influential women in medicine in Israel. She graduated high school at the age of 15 and completed a B.A. in political science and Middle Eastern studies at Bar Ilan University. As a result of this early academic achievement and her command of the Farsi language Yasmin was enlisted into the Israeli Ministry of Defense, where she carried out her army service. She is also a volunteer with Lo Omdot Mineged, and online community that provides assistance to women who are survivors of prostitution and previously managed an online community of thousands of women around alternative fashion. In this capacity Yasmin was featured in fashion publications in Israel and abroad. She is married and the mother of a young son.
