Yuri, an Israeli-national of Russian heritage, currently lives in Tel Aviv. His career focus is on social and business entrepreneurship in emerging markets, particularly in Africa. Yuri has spent over 7 of the past ten years in East and West Africa, serving in rollout capacities for companies and humanitarian organizations in Cote d'Ivoire, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Kenya, and Uganda. From 2014-2017 Yuri served as a CEO for Lumos Nigeria, in 2018 transitioning to the role of VP New Markets for Lumos Global, a Dutch company that brings affordable renewable energy solutions to lower income households and micro businesses in emerging markets. Today Yuri works with Mckinsey. Yuri holds a B.A. in economics and African studies from Ben Gurion University and an M.A. in crisis management from the Geneva University. He is fluent in Hebrew, Russian, French, and English. Yuri enjoys discovering new places and new cultures, reading and running.
