Ziv was born in 1984 in Kedumim Samaria Mountains. When he was 3 years old his parents moved to Hemed, a moshav near Tel Aviv, where Ziv lives today with his wife and their two wonderful boys. He dreams to take a part in redeeming the Negev desert and establishing a new community there. In the meantime the Maors will be moving in August 2010 to Tirat Zvi - a Kibbutz in Beit Shaen valley. Ziv served with the IDF in Galatz, the military radio station, then as editor of Mahatz - the infantry and paratroop commanders' gazette. In 2006 Ziv took part in the establishment of Omedia.co.il, a news and commentary website. In 2007 he was appointed as the spokesman and parliamentary consultant for MK Michael Eitan of the Likud party, currently a minister in the Israeli government. In 2008 Ziv returned to the journalism world, working at Haaretz as TheMarker.com's website economy news desk coordinator. In 2010 he began working as a PR manager in Yedioth Ahronoth book publishing brand, but at the same time pursued his true passions: Zionist movie making and Zionist high education. In 2010 a connection created in ROI 2009 summit led to his first ever production: a music video for Antithesis - the fellow ROIer Samuel Green. The Zionist Film Fund presented in ROI 2009 has collaborated with the Israeli production company CloudShapes entertainment to the creation of the first ever Israeli (and Zionist) science fiction movie - Otot (more info in OtotMovie.com). The shooting is expected to take place in spring 2010. Furthermore, Ziv has initiated the establishment of Mahar - a Zionist College which will offer a degree in political science alongside Judaism, Zionism and leadership courses. The campus will be located in Kibbutz Reshafim, near Beit Shean, and instead of paying tuition, students will work in agriculture.
