Zohar, 33 years old, is a member of Kibbutz Eshbal and belongs to the Dror Israel Movement. Born and raised in Israel, Zohar grew up in Hod Hasharon and did a year of national service in Beer Sheva before serving in the Nachal brigade as an infantry soldier. Education and social activism have been the focus of Zohar’s interest ever since his experiences in a youth movement as a child and young teen. The youth movement taught him to view the world with a critical eye and search for ways to make it better through collective efforts and within the framework of Zionist and Jewish ideals. Zohar currently works with English-speaking Jewish communities around the world and with English speaking olim in Israel. He also fundraises for Dror Israel and is in joined parenthood (not a biological dad). All this seldom leaves him enough time to practice his yoga and crochet skills and perform as Zohara, his drag character.
