Sitting around the Thanksgiving table with loved ones is an opportunity to appreciate all we are blessed with in our lives. It is also a perfect time to reflect on changes we can make to ensure that all people in our communities can have their basic needs met each day.

Millions of families across the United States suffer from hunger each day. If you find yourself grateful for a life where food comes in abundance, we encourage you to spend time this Thanksgiving discussing ways you can help others access the food they need.

To get you started, here are some resources from our partners at Repair the World.

Addressing Hunger Together: Turn your Thanksgiving dinner into a Thanksgiving seder! This resource includes a "menu" of rituals and thoughtful text studies about hunger to accompany each course of your Thanksgiving meal.

Bring Generosity to a Tough Table: A guide for Thanksgiving (or Friendsgiving!) specifically designed for conversations about food justice that will include diverse opinions. This guide was made in partnership with Lab/Shul

A Plateful of Grateful: An interactive booklet filled with practical tips to reduce food waste and activities to spark discussion about the relationship between food waste and hunger. This guide was made in partnership with 412 Food Rescue

Wishing you a happy and meaninful Thanksgiving.
