In the wake of events that deeply affected the global Jewish community last year—from the ceasefire in Israel to the antisemitic terror attack on Bondi Beach in Australia—people are continuing to turn to Jewish life to increase their sense of community and belonging.
In a recent op-ed for eJewish Philanthropy, Schusterman Co-President Lisa Eisen elevates the voices of six Jewish communal leaders, outlining an effort for navigating this moment of transition and strengthening the Jewish community in the years ahead. Together, they highlight areas where increased investment could drive outsized impact: from championing a bipartisan U.S.-Israel relationship, to addressing and reducing antisemitism, to upholding the democratic values that underpin just and inclusive societies.
As Eisen writes, “What we choose to invest in now will shape not only our institutions, but the contours of Jewish life and resilience of the Jewish people for years to come.”
