Ariel is a communications associate for ROI Community. She maintains ROI’s social media channels, works with the communications team on foundation-wide projects, and is part of the ROI Micro Grant approval process. In the latter capacity, she loves having the opportunity to learn about ROIers’ latest initiatives, from working with a branding expert to develop a new logo, to traveling halfway across the world to collaborate with a fellow Community member.
Ariel is a Jewish day school graduate and a Camp Moshava alum who grew up outside of Philadelphia, PA. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, she graduated from Brandeis University with a B.A. in Hebrew language and literature and minors in Hispanic studies and economics. Shortly after graduating, Ariel traveled to Israel where she spent time in hadracha with lone soldiers and American high school students, and interned at a non-profit organization in Tzfat. After leading a Birthright trip, working with lone soldiers for a second summer and visiting her family in the States, she made Aliyah and moved to Jerusalem.
Ariel’s most exciting professional experiences to date include doing a blogging internship with the Israeli music group, the Idan Raichel Project, and teaching Hebrew to lone soldiers. She is passionate about young leadership and the Jewish community and is constantly impressed by the diverse ways in which the ROI Community members express their commitment to Jewish values – be it through food, technology or attending a Limmud.
