REALITY: First, what can the REALITY community contact you about?

Partha: If anyone needs any advice in the medical devices industry or if anyone wants to chat hip-hop or NBA, I'm always down.

REALITY: What inspired you to start filming and creating a video on your REALITY journey?

Partha: When I went on REALITY, I was already shooting some photos and thought, let me just shoot a video of it. I thought it would be a cooler way to document a trip.  When I left the trip, it was emotional, a lot of growth, learning and reflection.  I wanted to find a way to express that feeling - where people could watch and feel what they felt when we had Shabbat dinner, when we were on a mountain near the Syrian border or when we were sitting around a bonfire.  For the video itself, I tried to keep things in order and show the personality of people, but not so much as to embarrass anyone.  For the song I wanted a cover of "Jerusalem" by Matisyahu. I tweeted at Happie Hoffman and she gave me the rights to use her cover. I’m not a film maker by trade, but I was pretty happy with what the result was.

REALITY: What is your favorite part of the video?

Partha: My favorite part of REALITY that I filmed I actually didn’t include in the video.  It was the last night's party in the crater and I got a clip of everyone singing Halleluyah.  Unfortunately, it was pitch black and you can’t see anyone, but it would have been an iconic closing shot.

REALITY: What is one thing that you want people to take away from your video?

Partha: Just that, while it’s easy to get back to regular life, I want them to remember what it was like being with the people on their journey.  Whether it was in the canyon, at Yad Vashem, at the winery or whatever it might have been, just that moment where you felt the impact of REALITY and to remember it and let that root you and ground you in your life.

REALITY: What excites you about being a part of the broader REALITY community?

Partha: I’m stoked to get to go to all y’all's events in Atlanta.  Also, I travel often, so I’m excited about getting to see alumni in different cities. I’ve already seen 5 or 6 people from my journey and have had one person come visit and crash with me in Atlanta.  It’s great to have this extended family everywhere.

REALITY: Is there anything else you want to share with the REALITY community?

Partha: I just want to say that one thing that really stuck with me from my REALITY journey is that life is not really about what you do at work or about whatever financial accomplishments you make, but it’s about the people in it and the relationships you have.
