As we look toward Shabbat, our hearts are with our team members, friends, family and all the people of Israel who are in mourning, following yesterday’s attack in Tel Aviv, carried out by a Palestinian terrorist. Over the past few weeks, four separate terrorist attacks have taken 14 innocent lives and injured dozens of people simply because they are Israeli.
The attacks took place in city centers on innocent civilians conducting their daily lives. Among those murdered were parents, spouses, fiancés, friends, a Paralympics coach, a Rabbi, an Arab Israeli police officer and more. We grieve with the families whose loved ones were senselessly taken and whose loss is unimaginable. We pray for the recovery of the wounded.
We stand with the people of Israel, from every community, who aspire and deserve to live in peace and safety. May the memories of the lives lost be for a blessing. May there be no further bloodshed. May we realize our vision of Israel as a secure Jewish homeland, thriving democracy and inclusive society.
