Amaya is an Assistant, Communications at Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies. Her work primarily focuses on supporting the organization’s internal communications and digital initiatives.

Prior to joining Schusterman, Amaya gained valuable experience working for The Communications Network, where she contributed to the annual conferences ComNet24 and ComNet25. From there, Amaya transitioned into contracting and freelance work, supporting clients across digital marketing, project coordination and content production. Her portfolio includes work with a women’s clinic serving marginalized communities, Atlanta-based marketing agencies, nonprofit communications and veteran hiring initiatives.

Amaya earned her Bachelor of Science in public relations from Kennesaw State University, where she worked in event planning for the Office of Alumni & Constituent Engagement and as the Events Team Lead for Sustainable Fashion Initiative, OwlSwap. Outside of the office, you can find Amaya in the kitchen baking or cooking, thrifting with friends, collecting hobbies and practicing self-care.
