How do you become an ROI Community member?

Jewish movers and shakers between the ages of 25-40 become members of ROI Community after attending the ROI Summit, our five-day gathering that brings together leaders with track records of impact to share knowledge, collaborate, be inspired and strengthen their toolboxes for change.

Application to the Summit is by recommendation. Approximately 5-6 months ahead of the Summit, existing ROI members and organizational partners are each offered the opportunity to recommend one candidate to apply to take part in the gathering and join the Community.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply to the ROI Summit and join ROI Community, candidates must be between the ages of 25-40 during the dates of the Summit and available to participate in the Summit in its entirety.

Aside from the technicalities of age and availability, we look for the following characteristics in candidates:

  • Community spirit and community-oriented mindset
  • Impressive professional trajectory and impact
  • Generous, gracious and introspective character
  • Clear sense of purpose
  • Genuine interest in and connection to Israel and/or Jewish life

Opportunities

After the five-day Summit , participants become members of the year-round ROI Community network, gaining access to a wide range of exclusive resources and opportunities. Some examples include:

Programs and Events
Throughout the year, we offer opportunities to build member-to-member connections while strengthening critical skills for social change.

Micro Funding
We offer small grants that support the impact of ROI Community members in their social change, Israel and Jewish engagement work.

Community Communication
Through our Community Platform, monthly newsletter, active Community Facebook Group and more, members have access to regular network updates and direct lines of contact to fellow ROIers and staff.

Community Involvement

Our expectation is that ROIers are eager to be part of a community of reciprocity—one in which members both gain from and actively contribute to the network.

This active participation can take many forms: from volunteering to organize events for fellow members, to attending our programming (online or in person), to being active on our social media channels, to turning to the network for advice and support, and offering advice and support when other members put a call out to the collective.

Meet Our Members

ROI Community members are creating impact inside and outside Jewish communities through media, education, arts and culture, politics, international development, high-tech and more.
