Research shows that curriculum matters for student learning. It matters a lot.

That is why we invest in high-quality, standards-aligned instructional materials and assessments. Our goal is to help provide teachers with the tools they need to prepare their students for college and a career.

We invest in the development, distribution and use of quality instructional materials, and we support efforts to build the demand for materials aligned to college- and career-ready standards. We also support networks of districts and states working to make quality curriculum a central part of their instructional improvement strategy.

We pay particular attention to ensuring that instructional materials are designed to support English language learners and students who are performing below grade level.

To maximize the effect of these great curricular materials, we seek opportunities to embed them in quality professional learning for teachers and school leaders. We also use research to ensure that curricular materials are having the impact students need.
